Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 16 June 2026
This explains how money moves on TradeFlow. There are two separate things: the deposit a customer pays a tradesperson, and the fees a tradesperson pays TradeFlow.
Customer deposits
Deposits are collected via Stripe Connect and settle directly into the tradesperson's own Stripe account — TradeFlow never holds these funds. Any refund of a deposit is therefore issued by the tradesperson, under the cancellation terms they set for their own work. If you booked a job and want a refund, contact that business first.
Cancellations & no-shows
Cancellation, rescheduling and no-show terms are set by each tradesperson for their own bookings. Where a deposit was taken, whether it's refundable depends on those terms and the timing of the cancellation.
Card disputes
If you paid by card and believe a charge is wrong, you can raise a dispute through your card provider; Stripe handles these on the tradesperson's account. We cooperate with legitimate dispute resolution.
TradeFlow subscription & per-booking fees
Fees a tradesperson pays TradeFlow (subscription and the flat per-confirmed-booking fee) are generally non-refundable once incurred, except where required by law or where we've made an error. If you think you've been charged incorrectly, raise it via our complaints procedure.
